Five weeks into my Life Reset, I’m down 9.8 pounds, but the biggest change has been my sleep.
When the body is properly supported and stress on the system is reduced, sleep often improves naturally.
That kind of rest plays a key role in hormone balance, metabolism, and overall health, not just weight loss.
Life Reset – Week 5 Update: Real Life, Real Progress
This update reflects real life – vacations, routines changing, and learning how to get back on track. Even though I skipped sharing Week 4 due to travel, the reset itself didn’t stop. It simply adapted, which is exactly how this program is designed to work.
The Scale Update
As of this week, I’m down 9.8 pounds total, which I am happy with, in the best way. I’m now 3.8 pounds away from my goal weight, the same weight I reached in 2021 when I lost 26 pounds.
That’s the weight I feel best at and the one I can comfortably maintain. Once I reach it, the goal isn’t to keep losing, it’s to stay well.
Where I Am in the Program
I’m currently in Week 6 of the Release Phase, with one more week to go before moving into the Maintenance Phase, which lasts another six weeks.
The Release Phase is designed to reset the body. During this time, we remove dairy, sugar, and fats, even healthy fats, temporarily. This isn’t permanent. You can safely remove fats for six weeks, allowing the body to rebalance and reduce inflammation.
The Maintenance Phase is where things become more flexible. Foods are reintroduced one at a time, which helps identify sensitivities and understand what your body does and doesn’t respond well to.
This is how the program becomes a lifestyle, not a diet.
This Is a Lifestyle — Not Perfection
Life happens. I’ve lived this reset long enough to know that.
When my sister passed away, I slipped. And instead of quitting, I returned to the Release Phase to get myself back on track. That’s the beauty of this approach: you always know how to reset without starting over.
The long-term lifestyle looks very much like the Maintenance Phase — balanced, inclusive, and realistic.
My Biggest Goal Was Never Just Weight
While the weight loss is encouraging, my primary goal has always been sleep.
Just like in 2021, I’m sleeping deeply again. When the body heals from the inside out, sleep often improves naturally, and with it comes better energy, focus, and overall well-being.
A Small Story That Still Matters
Before my first Life Reset in 2021, I suffered from frequent canker sores, one or two every month for years. Since completing that reset, I haven’t had a single one.
At the time, I learned my system was too acidic. Changing how I fueled my body made a lasting difference, and that experience alone is why I trusted this process again.
Confidence Comes From Feeling Good
When you sleep well, feel comfortable in your clothes, and have steady energy, confidence follows naturally. Not forced confidence; real confidence rooted in feeling good in your body.
That’s what this reset provides: a strong foundation, not pressure or perfection.
What’s Coming Next
Next week, I’ll be sharing both my weight and measurements. I have no idea what the numbers will say, but I can already see and feel the changes.
If you’re curious about how this reset works or whether it could support you, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to connect you with Karen Porter, a highly qualified Health Practitioner who supports clients not just through the program, but for life.
I’m grateful I decided to do this reset in 2021, and just as grateful I chose to return to it now.
