What’s the Gap in Your Business?
Maybe It’s Your Website

Sometimes a simple question can start a very interesting conversation.

I attended Coffee & Collab this week, a networking group I belong to. We were asked to partner with another business owner and do an exercise together:

Identify “the gap” in each other’s business.

I was paired with a woman, who was attending Coffee & Collab for the very first time.

As we talked, she identified her gap pretty quickly.

Her website.

She had been trying to create it herself, but she wasn’t getting anywhere fast. She knew she needed to get it done, but like so many entrepreneurs, she was trying to run her business AND figure out all the technology behind it.

I immediately thought, I know exactly what I want to show her.

I Pulled Out My Own Website

I showed Andrea my Be Ageless with Diana website and my Welcome Page, where I can bring together the different pieces of my business.

She loved what she saw.

And that conversation made me realize something.

I use my website all the time. I write my blog there. I share resources. I collect information through forms. I communicate with my community. And I’m continuing to learn how to automate more of what happens behind the scenes.

But I sometimes forget that another entrepreneur may be looking for exactly the solution I’m already using.

So today I’m sharing it.

The Platform Behind My Website

My website is powered by Oh My Hi, a platform created by Becky and Jeremy Launder.

And what I’ve discovered is that it can be much more than simply a place to build a website.

Depending on the plan you choose, Oh My Hi can help bring together things like:

• Your website and blog
• Forms and lead capture
• Contact management
• Email marketing
• Follow-up and automations
• Business tools that work together in one place

And something that has been especially important to me is support.

I’m certainly not a technology expert!

I’ve asked lots of questions along the way, attended training and learned one step at a time.

At 77, I’m still learning new technology, trying new systems and discovering better ways to run my business.

And I love that.

Start Where You Are

Another thing I appreciate about Oh My Hi is that you don’t have to start with more than you need.

There are different levels available, so you can choose what makes sense for your business right now.

As your business changes, you can upgrade or downgrade depending on what you need.

I think that’s especially important for a small-business owner who may be thinking:

“I know I need a website, but I don’t know where to begin.”

You don’t have to do everything at once.

Start where you are.

One Little YES Changed a Lot for Me

I originally discovered Oh My Hi through Lisa.

I said yes.

I certainly didn’t know then how much I would learn.

Since that first yes, I’ve learned more about websites, blogging, email marketing, lead magnets, forms, customer follow-up and automation.

But something else happened too.

I grew.

I’ve become more confident using technology. I’ve become more willing to try things I once would have thought were beyond me.

And perhaps most importantly, I’ve learned that good systems don’t have to take the personal touch out of your business.

They can actually give you more time for the personal touch.

That’s important to me because relationships, sharing and helping others will always be at the heart of how I do business.

There’s Another Opportunity Too

Here’s something else I think is worth knowing.

Oh My Hi also has an affiliate program.

If you’re an Oh My Hi customer and love what you’re using, you have the opportunity to share it with other business owners and earn recurring commissions on qualifying referrals.

That means sharing a platform you already use could potentially help offset some or even all of the cost of your own subscription.

There are no guarantees, of course. Like any affiliate opportunity, results depend on your referrals and their continued subscriptions.

But I love the concept:

Use it. Love it. Share it.

That’s actually what happened with me.

Lisa shared something she was using with me.

I became a customer.

And now I’m sharing it with people like Andrea, and perhaps with you.

So…What’s the Gap in YOUR Business?

Maybe it’s your website.

Maybe you already have a website, but it isn’t really working for you.

Maybe your contacts are in one place, your email list is somewhere else, your forms are somewhere else again, and you’re trying to remember who needs a follow-up.

Or maybe technology simply feels overwhelming and you’ve been putting the whole thing off.

If any of that sounds familiar, I’d encourage you to take a look at the platform I’m using.

Becky, one of the co-founders of Oh My Hi, has put together a demonstration that shows you what’s possible.

Curious?

And if you have questions after watching it, please reach out.

I’m not a website designer or a technology expert.

I’m simply a business owner who uses Oh My Hi, continues to learn from it, and is happy to share my experience.

Because sometimes the answer to moving forward isn’t figuring out everything by yourself.

Sometimes it starts with identifying the gap.

And then saying yes to the next step.

With love,

Diana
